Join artist Sally Mills on a creative journey where ceramics and glass come together in stunning harmony. Sally has developed a unique kiln-fusion technique that combines molten glass with clay, producing vibrant, one-of-a-kind Christmas Decorations featuring her signature “crazed” effect.

In this 2.5 Hour Pottery & Glass Christmas Decoration Class, you’ll make up to 5 totally individual decorations, perfect for decorating your Christmas tree or gifting to someone special.

This session is designed for all skill levels, from complete beginners to seasoned potters. No prior art experience is needed—Sally’s relaxed, step-by-step approach makes it easy for anyone to craft something truly impressive.

You will learn the art of carving sections into the clay and then adding the coloured fritted glass. You will have 120 beautiful glass colours to work with. We have template designs that you can work with or alternatively, if you have specific ideas you would like create we can work with you to bring these to life. These decoration can be personalised with added lettering of your choice.

If you need to cancel a more than 14 days before the class, we’ll happily give you a full refund, minus the booking fee. If it’s between 14 and 7 days before the class, you’ll receive a 50% refund, minus the booking fee. Unfortunately, if you cancel within 7 days of the class, we’re unable to offer a refund.

If you need to transfer your booking to someone else, no problem! You can do that at no extra charge as long as you let us know before the class starts. If you’re unable to attend, please note that the full fee is still required, and we’re unable to offer refunds or transfers for missed classes. Please see terms and conditions for full details.

There is plenty of free street parking right by the The Salted Kiln. Additional free parking is also available behind the bus stop opposite if required.

There is the opportunity to have you’re your work delivered internationally. Please just asked when in class and we can give you a quote.

It’s totally normal to feel a bit unsure when starting something new—everyone does! The learning curve is where the fun happens, and you’ll get better with time. Plus, everyone else is in the same boat, so you’re not alone. Just enjoy the process!

Yes of course! Its encouraged that you just keep going with the love of learning a new skill. All classes are tailored to the skill levels of all students. You are able to follow your own artistic journey if you have already mastered the basics.

Yes, there are toilet facilities available on-site. However, they are situated down a flight of steep steps, making them more difficult for individuals with mobility impairments.
