7-Week Pottery Evening Class

Our 7-week pottery course is designed for all skill levels, whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced potter looking to explore new techniques.
What You'll Learn:
Over the first 7 weeks, you'll get hands-on experience in a variety of techniques, including:
- Pinch Pots: hand-built pottery technique where clay is shaped by pinching and moulding with fingers
- Slab Building: involves shaping clay into flat pieces, then joining them to create forms like pots or sculptures.
- Coiling: involves rolling clay into long ropes, stacking them, and smoothing the layers to create pottery shapes.
- Wheel Throwing basics: technique where clay is shaped on a rotating wheel to form bowls, vases, or pots.
- Surface Decoration : involves techniques like carving, glazing, painting, or imprinting to enhance the aesthetic and texture of ceramics.

We’ll guide you step-by-step, helping you develop your skills and explore your creativity.
Whether you’re new to pottery or want to refine your technique, you’ll receive plenty of support from our friendly, experienced instructors.
If you are a more experienced potter you may of course follow your own creative agenda with support from us all the way.
The Final Week:
In the last week, you’ll have the chance to showcase your creations and discuss your next steps.
Whether you’re interested in continuing with another class or just want to refine your wheel-throwing skills, we’ll offer one-on-one guidance. Any work made in this final session will only be fired if you continue with another class.
Our Approach:
The course is designed to be fun, relaxed, and a great escape from everyday stresses. It’s the perfect opportunity to craft beautiful, unique pieces—whether for yourself or as thoughtful gifts for others.
You’ll have the space to explore, create, and unwind in a welcoming, supportive environment.
Materials and Costs:
The course fee covers all your clay and glaze.
There may be additional costs if you create very large pieces or make more than 12 items throughout the course, but we’ll discuss any extra small charges during your sessions.
What you need to bring:
All you need to bring is your creativity and enthusiasm.
Aprons and all tools are all provided. You are welcome to bring your own special tools but please mark them so we know they are yours.
