Festive Herb Platter Course
handbuild your own pottery herb platters for Christmas
Join artist Sally Mills on a creative journey to create your own Festive Herb Platters in pottery.
You have a choice of 3 difference designs templates to work from, an oval platter design, cheese board and a long platter with handles. Perfect for a festive table or gifting to someone special.
You will be able to make one platter and possibly two within the timing of the course.
You will be taught how to impress the beautiful fresh herbs into the clay to decorate your creations. You will also be able to personalise your work with names/lettering if desired.
This is a 2 session course that runs on 2 separate days (2 weeks apart). Each session is 1.5 hours long adding up to 3 hours of class time.
In the first session you will make the platters and press in the herbs. 2 weeks later in the second session (once your platters have been through the kiln firing) you will be learning to paint the herb impressions with underglaze colours and adding glaze.
The course is designed for all skill levels, from complete beginners to seasoned potters. No prior art experience is needed—
Sally’s relaxed, step-by-step approach makes it easy for anyone to craft something truly impressive.
