Join artist Sally Mills on a creative journey where ceramics and glass come together in stunning harmony. After years of exploration and innovation, Sally has developed a unique kiln-fusion technique that combines molten glass with clay, producing vibrant, one-of-a-kind artworks featuring her signature “crazed” effect.
In this 2-Hour Taster Class, you’ll have the opportunity to create your own framed ceramic and glass artwork—perfect for decorating your home or gifting to someone special.
This session is designed for all skill levels, from complete beginners to seasoned potters. No prior art experience is needed—Sally’s relaxed, step-by-step approach makes it easy for anyone to craft something truly impressive.
We are hoping you will love working with the glass, becoming your next creative obsession and you will want to sign yourself up for the 7-week Ceramic & Glass Fusion Evening Class which starts in September. The possibilities are endless!
What's Included:
- Clay & Tools Provided: We supply all the materials you need, including high-quality clay, the fritted glass, tools, and aprons. Included in the price is a wooden and glass frame for your artwork so you can easily display this on your wall (see photo).
- Introduction to Creating with Clay and Glass: You’ll receive step-by-step guidance from an expert instructor on the basics how to make the most of this wonderful technique.
- Small Group Setting: We keep our classes small with a maximum of 12 participants, ensuring you get plenty of one-on-one attention from our experienced instructor. This makes for a fun and relaxed atmosphere where you can work at your own pace and get personalized tips.
Age: 8+ years (Recommended for children 8 and older due to fine motor skills required)
Post-Class:

Firing and Delivery: By the end of the session you will have produced a flat piece of beautiful artwork with your design and have added the fritted glass. After you leave, your piece is then slowly dried and kiln fired so the clay can mature and the glass can melt into your design. This process can take up to 3 weeks.
You will be contacted when your work is ready for collection from the workshop or before you leave class you can choose to pay £5.00 for posting and packing it to you or a loved one if you aren't able to pick it up in person.,

what happens if i'm unable to attend the course?
If you need to cancel a more than 14 days before the class, we’ll happily give you a full refund, minus the booking fee. If it’s between 14 and 7 days before the class, you’ll receive a 50% refund, minus the booking fee. Unfortunately, if you cancel within 7 days of the class, we’re unable to offer a refund.
If you need to transfer your booking to someone else, no problem! You can do that at no extra charge as long as you let us know before the class starts. If you’re unable to attend, please note that the full fee is still required, and we’re unable to offer refunds or transfers for missed classes. Please see terms and conditions for full details.
do you have parking on site?
can i have my creation delivered internationally?
There is the opportunity to have you’re your work delivered internationally. Please just asked when in class and we can give you a quote.
i dont want to be rubbish, do you have a tutorials i can watch in advance?
It’s totally normal to feel a bit unsure when starting something new—everyone does! The learning curve is where the fun happens, and you’ll get better with time. Plus, everyone else is in the same boat, so you’re not alone. Just enjoy the process!
Can i attend this course multiple times?
Yes of course! Its encouraged that you just keep going with the love of learning a new skill. All classes are tailored to the skill levels of all students. You are able to follow your own artistic journey if you have already mastered the basics.
are there toilet facilities available?
Yes, there are toilet facilities available on-site. However, they are situated down a flight of steep steps, making them more difficult for individuals with mobility impairments.
